Dr. Carvajal - Medical Director |
Dr. Hugo F. Carvajal is a board certified physician who was
born and raised in Cartago,
Costa Rica. He received his medical degree from the
National University of Mexico School of Medicine and spent time completing his
internship in both Mexico and Costa Rico before moving to the United States.
With over 30 years of practice in medicine, Dr. Carvajal has spent time
teaching medicine, reviewing and authoring medical writings as well as
directing a number of medical programs all over Texas. Currently Dr. Carvajal
is Medical Director & CEO of Texas Impatient Pediatrics, PA as well as
President & CEO of North Central Urgent Care and Bee Caves Urgent Care. Dr.
Carvajal is also the President and Chief Operating Officer of Pediatric
Subspecialists of South TX, PA. Dr. Carvajal currently resides in San Antonio,
Texas.
When he is not practicing medicine he enjoys spending time with his children and grandchildren and visiting his home country of Costa Rica.

Yvonne Lai, M.D.
Yvonne Lai, M.D. is a board certified family physician currently practicing out of San Antonio, Texas.
A graduate of The University of Texas in Austin, she completed medical school at The UTHSC of San Antonio in 1997. She went on to finish residency in Family Practice at John Peter Smith Hospital in Fort Worth.
Dr. Lai’s interests include swimming, gardening, family time and cheering on the Texas Longhorns and San Antonio Stars. As a mother she recognizes the value of ready access to quality care for those unexpected moments in life.

Mike Hilliard, M.D.
Dr. Hilliard was born and raised in San Antonio, Texas and graduated from The University of Texas at Houston Medical School in 1996, competed his residency in Emergency Medicine in 1999 and continued practicing emergency medicine at a level 1 trauma center here in his home state.
Dr. Hilliard is married and is the father of 3 children.
He enjoys spending time coaching the kids’ soccer team and spending time with his family.

Chad Babcock, M.D. is a board certified physician in Family Practice who grew up in Denton, Texas and attended the University of North Texas and UT Dallas for his undergraduate degree. Dr. Babcock graduated from UT Southwestern Medical School in 2001 and completed his residency there in 2004. He has been working exclusively in the field of Urgent Care since graduating and has experience as an urgent care Assistant Medical Director. Dr. Babcock enjoys spending time with his young nephew and new baby niece.

Michael Stecher, M.D. is a board certified doctor born and raised in Atchinson, Kansas. He attended Kansas State University for his undergraduate and medical degrees and went on to complete his residency at Kansas University Medical Center. He has spent time practicing medicine in the Austin area at Bee Caves Medical and Urgent Care Plus before joining Bee Caves Urgent Care. When he is not practicing medicine Dr. Stecher enjoys practicing martial arts, hunting, fishing and reading.

Mike McElveen, M.D. is a board certified doctor in Emergency Medicine, born and raised in Houston, TX. He attended Rice University for his undergraduate degree and went on to study at Baylor College of Medicine. Dr. McElveen completed an internship in Internal Medicine at Brackenridge Hospital before practicing emergency medicine at Brackenridge and South Austin Hospital for 29 years. When he is not practicing medicine Dr. McElveen enjoys cycling, kayaking, woodworking and homesteading.
